There was a war, made up of a square-shaped vertical led sign hanging from a robotic structure suspended from the walls of the room, with information rescued on the international refugee crisis and the devastating humanitarian consequences of the Civil war still raging in Syria, including 131 eyewitness accounts gathered between 2011 and 2016 by Human Rights Watch and Save the Children.
Electronic signs include selected excerpts from two of the most famous text series plus texts. Viviendo Living, (1980–1982), which presents a set of lazy remarks, instructions, and warnings; and Survival (Survival, 1983–1985), a sobering series that questions how people respond to their political, social, physical, psychological, and personal environment.
